Donkeys filled the Lewiston-Altura High School gym on Jan. 29.
The reason? Donkey basketball.
A team made up of Lewiston-Altura High School seniors took their donkey basketball skills to a team made up of Lewiston community members.
The whole spectacle was brought to Lewiston-Altura High School by Dairyland Donkey Ball as a fundraising event for the Lewiston-Altura FFA as well as their community involvement activity.
“It’s a different avenue for different groups of people to come out and have an evening of fun and entertainment,” said Ryan Steele the FFA advisor for the Lewiston-Altura FFA chapter.
The seniors eventually lost in a tie-breaking arm wrestling match in the center of the court.
