Sandy, who was in a wheel chair most of the 5k run/walk, but walked across the finish line, was diagnosed with breast cancer last month. Haan's family members and coworkers surprised her Sunday morning by bringing her to the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and by supporting her with the team Sandy's Supporters, explained Meagan Goens, Haan's daughter. "She had no clue she was coming here," Goens said. "I can't even begin to describe it," Haan said of walking across the finish line with Sandy's Supporters.
